I want to start off with apologizing for my radio silence 🙏🏻, I have been extremely busy lately working on Custom Orders. I donʼt get Customs as often as I would like to, but when I do I get swarmed! Whatʼs that saying? When it rains it pours ⛈?
Well thatʼs exactly what has been going on for me, Itʼs been pouring 💦, whether itʼs been in my personal life or my business life, I have had a ton going on. However do you know what I always make time for? My customers 💞. I always want to make sure they come first and are always happy 💯.
If something hard is going on in my life, or if Iʼm heartbroken 💔, absent minded 🙃, whatever the reasons are, I just keep going 💃🏻. Because thatʼs what you do when youʼre a girl boss 👩🏻💻! You fix your ponytail and keep on moving 👑.
No matter what, my business is here for me. Touch Of A Feather has pulled me out of some of my darkest 💀 times because It is consistency and filled with all my love 💗 and joy 🤗.
So when Iʼm feeling lost and need to feel that love and happiness, I can crawl right back into my work 👩🏻💻, and everything is right with me all over again.
Now for me to ensure that I can keep that safe place, I have to make sure that my customers feel the same way about Touch Of A Feather as I do.
I want them to love ❤️ my little shop like just like me. So I make sure to always have several ways for them to communicate 📱with me, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Email 📩. I will eventually be expanding, but you should never 🙅🏻♀️ bite off more then you can chew.
I also always make sure that my phone 📲 is with me at all times, so what 🤷🏻♀️ if people call me a phone addict? I know that I am a bad ass boss babe 💁🏻♀️ whoʼs making her dreams come true 💫. So make sure to answer your messages, and put up your automatic messaging if possible depending on the platforms you are using.
Along with promptly answering my messages, I also like to make sure that I am polite, and as helpful and accommodating as I can be. I get a lot of messages asking if I can hold items, or offer payment plans, or if I can make something specific for them. The answer is almost always yes. I will hold items for my customers, especially If I know that they will come through. On occasion I will have a past customer who wasnʼt prompt with payments that I canʼt offer these options to anymore. However I am accommodating and will make sure no matter what my customer leaves happy 😁, even if that means suggesting I create a custom for them at a later date.
Donʼt 🙅🏻♀️ bend over backwards for those who donʼt appreciate it, but trust me, the better you are to your customers, the more long term and loyal buyers you will begin to pick up along the way 🙏🏻.
You also want to make sure you are ALWAYS 💯 HONEST! If you donʼt have time ⏰ to pick up another project, let them know, more than likely they will be willing to wait the necessary amount of time you need to get that order done for them. If you run out of some sort of necessary item you need to create the product, BE HONEST. They will understand, and if they donʼt, kindly refund or donʼt accept payment. Honesty is key 🗝.
I donʼt want to brag 💁🏻♀️, but I have incredible customers, and I am proud to say that a lot of them have become good friends of mine. Now If I wouldnʼt have gone the lengths to make these wonderful ladies happy 😘, would I be able to say that? Nope!
They are also some of my largest collectors 🙌🏻, donʼt you want someone to begin collecting your items? I bet you do! It feels incredible 💪🏻 whenever someone sends me a photo of all the creations they have carefully chosen from me 😱 to make their own. Itʼs amazing 😍, and I want you to feel the same, so trust me! This works!
So lets recap:
1. Promptly respond to messages
2. Always answer Questions
3. Accommodate to the customers needs
4. Keep them Happy
5. And always be HONEST
Itʼs really not that hard, and It is my favorite part of running my own business 🤗, I get the chance to interact 📱 with everyone who comes in contact with my necklaces. Granted there are those customer that slip 👻 onto the website, order and never send me a message, but I totally see 👀 them! I always recognize the names on the orders and Iʼm like “Hey! Iʼm so glad she came back!”

So a couple weeks ago I got a few of my large collectors to take a photo of their own Touch Of A Feather collections and I was happily surprised to see how willing they were to do this for me. Once again that shows exactly what kind of a relationship I like to keep with them ✌🏻.
